The footage was produced using an MB Vectrex, a rather forgotten games console from the early 80s. The console is unusual because it has a vector monitor rather than the raster technology used in standard TVs. Joseph Hyde hacked the console to allow audio to modulate the electron beam, which turns out to produce amazing patterns and symmetries.
